Brahma’s Butterfly/review

One day Brahma created the world – trees, waters, animals, fish, birds, plants and flowers. He loved them all, but most of all he loved the plants and the flowers that grew in them. Until, one day, to his horror he found all the plants stripped of their leaves. Brahma found that inexcusable, who was that nasty creature who dared do this?
A fat, furry caterpillar nervously admits to the crime. He could not help himself he explained, he was always so hungry.
Angrily Brahma cursed the caterpillar, “May you become like as tone, with no legs and no jaws. “May you just hang there among the leaves, surrounded by the food you love so much, but unable to reach out and bite...”

When all the birds and animals intervened on his behalf, Brahma relented and modified his curse to last only for a few days. The grateful caterpillar plants a wet, loving kiss on his cheeks. Happy once again, Brahma grants him a boon that after sleeping for a few days he would become a ….?”
