Do and Don’t...

A story for the young child who like most children is reluctant to go school.
A little boy wakes up and firmly indicates his reluctance to go to school that day. Until, he is informed that it was the day of the class excursion to the zoo. And of course, his tune quickly changes, “Here I come, like a rocket...Do please give way, DON’T stand in my way!”

With simple line drawings in black ink, the book effectively evokes a rural scenario. Every page of this slim book reflects the daily life of an Indian child in a village, from the charpoy that he is sleeping on, to the bucket filled with water and, of course, the rooster crowing outside his window, thus opening the rural vista to the urban child, as well.

Simple language and uncluttered illustrations is sure to appeal to the beginner reader.
