Children love playing peek-a-boo and guessing games and so will love this little story of Boodabim. What is that plump and grey Boodabim children will wonder? Is it a cloud? A balloon? A butterfly? And so, the guessing game goes on with page after page revealing one zany, ludicrous possiblity after another.
Children also love indulging in a lot of role-play. And like Boodabim, may sometimes be a tiger in the jungle or an astronaut jettisoning out into space. This book successfully conveys a very subtle message of self-identity – that they maybe all of those at various times, but essentially they are the one and the same lovable child.
Ideally suited for young children, this book with minimum vocabulary and a single image per page will not only help develop their vocabulary and language skills, but their cognitive skills, as well.
