An exponent of Hindustani Classical Music, Kala Ramesh was bitten by the haiku-bug in 2005. Since then, her work covering haiku, tanka, senryu, haibun and renku (collaborative poetry) has appeared in leading e-zines and anthologies all over the world.

Kala, an award winning poet, is keen to see children and adults in India take to haiku and its genres, and conducts workshops in the art of haiku writing.
