Passed on from generation to generation folktales stretch one’s imagination from the mundane to the bizarre to create stories that not only entertain, but also teach subtle lessons as well.

Bhibhubhai loves food and one day has a terrible craving to eat some coconut. He sets off to the market to buy one. But just as much as he loves to eat, he also loves to save money and is willing go to any extent to get one as cheaply as possible – preferably free. Therein lies the tale.

The illustrations are fabulous. Inspired by the painted paper scrolls used by the Garoda story-tellers, they are colourful with a lot of interesting details to engage the child.

This book is also available in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Bangla
