Winners of LRSIA 2018!!

Finally the much-awaited day has arrived when the results of the Leading Reading Schools of India Awards for the year 2018 has arrived. Totallly 79 schools had registered from across the country. Hence, it has been a very difficult choice. Schools are conducting such innovative programmes and going all out to ensure that reading is perceived as fun. To arrive at the winners we meticulously scrutinised the acitivities mentioned in the School Registration Form and zoomed into programmes that were exciting and innovative resulting in creating a lifelong passion for reading.

The next step was to obviously to see how enthusiatic the students were about reading the recommended books and actively participating in the competition. Not only that but we closely read all of them to gauge the child's undertanding of the book's offering.
Thus we arrived the longlist of twenty schools mentioned below in alphabetic order.

And then began the arduous task of shortlisting the schools. The ten schools that made it were:

And finally after great back and forth, reading and re-reading the programmes, rating the ones we felt were indicative of the maximum impact in creating a library as the learning hub for the school we zoomed into the winners of of the Leading Reading Schools of India Awards for the year 2018 are:

Ist Place: JBCN International School, Parel, Mumbai (IGCSE)
2nd Place: Shishuvan English Medium School, Matunga Mumbai ( ICSE)
3rd Place: Dikshant School, Zirakpur, Punjab (CBSE)
4th Place: Vidyashilp Academy, Jakkur (ICSE)
5th Place: Vibgyor High School, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai (ICSE)

We extend our heartiest contratulations to all the winning schools and those that have participated as well. We hope that your students enjoyed reading these rib-ticking books and will continue to read. 
We also extend our congratulations to all the winning children. We hope that they enjoyed writing their submissions as much as we enjoyed reading them. We will be posting selective ones periodically for all to enjoy.
