Parents are generally perceived as stern figures of authority. They are regarded as infallible, knowledgable and all-knowing. At least, that is the case when kids are small.

Can mothers ever be wrong? No!

Do they ever make mistakes? Never!

At least so kids are told. And then, long comes this book which happily blows away that image of infallibility. This story about a mother, who is always mixing up words, is sure to tickle the funny bone of many a kid and send them into peals of laughter. Children will enjoy the fact that moms too can make mistakes. Many hilarious situations are conjured up to make the point. To give an example,

"Our mom is funny. One day she said, 'Poodles for lunch!' But what she really meant was...noodles!

And so it goes, on and on, one blooper after another. Each one a page turner.

Illustrations have been painstakingly executed in embroidery, in the applique style. The vibrant colours and the whimsical details are sure to have children poring over the pages. In fact, imaginative children could even construct their own stories from the pages.

A great book to get children explore rhyming words and enjoy creating their own funny rhymes.
